an offshore wind farm needs about three times as much copper as a coal-fired power station to produce the same amount of electricity, while an electric vehicle needs more copper than a petroleum-fueled one. Then there is the boom in artificial intelligence, which requires massive computer power, reliant on more electricity. Growing use of data centers means more demand for copper.
